Twice a year, (February and October) The Mens Room has a drive to encourage all males from 12 up to think about doing things in the home that perhaps have been put off for some time. This might be a major undertaking like changing a bathroom suite or fitting a new kitchen. Or it might be something a little less strenuous like changing a light bulb. Men who aren’t usually cook’s might also try out their abilities by rustling up a dish or two for their wives and/or families.

We also encourage men to help another male who may be elderly or disabled and unable to do things for themselves. Help is also provided for lone mothers.

Of course we prescribe to the view that a man should take an active role in his home all year round. These two months of focus however, usually give men and their households something a little more special to look forward to.
